Read This First (Unless You Don't Want To)
What's This Blog About?
This blog features a large collections of posts about traveling in Thailand and Thai customs. There are dozens of destination guides with lots of travel information and useful tips as well as a number of itinerary suggestions. The posts are written in a rather funny and sometimes sarcastic way, so not everything should be interpreted as gospel (e.g. if a post recommends you to drink seven or more beers, no need to do so if you pass out after three).
What if I Don't See the Information I Need?
Don't panic, buttercup. There's a Search bar at the top of your screen (if you're on a smartphone). Just type in some key words, click the magnifying glass and Bob's your uncle! If you're a dinosaur or a gamer lugging a ten pound laptop around, open your browser, surf to this site and you'll hopefully figure it out. And don't even get me started about the folks still looking for an internet café with clunky desktops in 2025.
Can I Sue Or Complain If The Information Found Here Isn't Completely Up-to-date?
Absolutely. Not.
There's this thing called the interwebs where you can Google the latest information on transportation prices, airlines schedules and the availability of your favorite long time hotel on New Year's Eve. Consider this blog part of Thailand, where peeps don't sue for being served khao pad moo (fried rice with pork) when they ordered khao pad gai (fried rice with chicken).
Can I Submit My Own Articles?
Sure. And if they're worthy they might even get published. And before you ask, no you won't get paid because this blog is ad-free (not because we want to but out of necessity because the AdSense overlords deem it unworthy - so far). You may have noticed that our contributors follow a similar writing style, with a few personal touches. Blog posts are acceptable if they're able to bring a smile to the reader's face and kind of follow the same style.
Planning And Content
We'll be trying to publish destination guides of most if not all worthy tourist destinations in Thailand, from the blatantly obvious (think Phuket and Chiang Mai) to the more obscure (looking at you, Roi Et and Chantaburi).
There will also be plenty of transportation information (Traveling by Bus, Train, Van etc.) as well as cultural backstories and local customs. Basically, the sky is the limit.
Famous Last Words
If you enjoy reading this blog, feel free to share it with others. It helps out a lot (I've no idea how, but this seems to be something creators always say). Maybe one day it will rise above the fray of mediocre blogs and become semi-popular. Btw, we're trying to do daily uploads, so you might want to bookmark this site and come back when you feel like it. If you want to get notified of new posts, that's great, but I have no idea how that would work. Burn some incense perhaps?
Now stop reading this, go find out some interesting stuff to read on here and crack open a cold Chang (or five) to improve your focus.
