Say Goodbye To Paper Arrival Cards - The TDAC is here!

No More Paper Forms! Your Essential Guide to the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Say goodbye to the old paper arrival forms (TM6). Thailand has fully embraced the digital age with the mandatory Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). This online form is designed to speed up immigration, enhance security, and ensure a much smoother welcome into the Kingdom of Thailand.

Here is what you need to know to complete the TDAC for your trip.

What is the TDAC? (The New Digital Arrival Card)

The TDAC is the official digital form that replaces the traditional paper arrival card.

 * Who Must Submit It: All non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea.

 * When to Submit It: You can submit the TDAC online within a 3-day (72-hour) window prior to your arrival date.

 * Official Website: You should use the official website of the Thailand Immigration Bureau: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/.

 * Cost: The TDAC is free of charge.

Information You Must Have Ready

To complete the TDAC quickly, make sure you have the following details before you start:

 * Valid Passport: Full name, passport number, date of birth, and nationality.

 * Travel Details: Flight number (or vehicle/vessel number) and your exact arrival date.

 * Accommodation Address in Thailand: The full address of where you will stay your first night (e.g., Hotel name, Province, District).

 * Purpose of Travel: Your reason for visiting (e.g., Tourism, Business).

 * Contact Information: Your phone number and a valid email address.

 * Health Declaration: Details on any countries visited in the last two weeks and a declaration of any symptoms.

Step-by-Step Guide to Filling Out the TDAC

The online process is simple and takes just a few minutes:

 * Access the Official Website: Go to https://tdac.immigration.go.th/ and click the "Arrival Card" button.

 * Personal Information: Input your name and passport details. Note that some fields can be automatically filled by scanning or uploading a picture of your passport.

 * Trip & Accommodation Information: Enter your arrival details, purpose of visit, and your address in Thailand.

 * Health Declaration: Complete the required health questions.

 * Review and Submit: Review all the entered information carefully (especially passport details), enter your email address to receive the confirmation, agree to the terms, and click "Submit."

Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email with a QR code. Save a screenshot or print this out. When you arrive at Immigration, the officer will scan your passport, and your submitted TDAC data will appear on their screen for fast processing.

Note: The QR code is not always scanned as the officer can see onscreen if you've submitted the TDAC or not.

SCAM ALERT: The TDAC is 100% FREE, So Avoid Fake Fee Websites

Be highly cautious of unofficial websites that try to charge you a fee for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card. These are not government websites and are operating fraudulently.

To help you protect yourself, here is a breakdown of how to tell the difference between a scam site and the official site:

Look for the Official Site (The FREE One):

 * Official URL: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/

 * Domain Name: Must end in the official Thai Government domain: .go.th

 * Fee Charged: Always FREE. There is no payment section or request for credit card details.

 * Submission Window: Only allows submission within 3 days (72 hours) of your arrival date.

Spotting a Scam Site (The PAID One):

 * Domain Name: Often ends in .com, .info, or .org (or any generic domain).

 * Fee Charged: Asks for money (typically $10 USD or more) for "processing" or "fast track" service.

 * Submission Window: May offer to book your TDAC many months in advance.

 * Extra Services: May bundle the TDAC with other services like travel insurance to justify the charge.

Action to Take

Always ensure you are using the official URL: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/. Never enter payment information on a site claiming to process your TDAC.
